Committed to Engineering Excellence Since 1936
Since 1936, the Constructional Engineering Association (South Africa) has represented and supported employers in the construction engineering industry. We offer unmatched expertise and resources to drive innovation and success in structural, mechanical, electrical, and project management fields.
Guided by Purpose, Driven by Success
The mission of the Constructional Engineering Association of South Africa (CEA(SA)) is to represent employers in the steel construction industry, covering structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, and project management fields.
CEA(SA) also oversees the Temporary Employment Services Division (TESD), which advocates for employers and employees in the steel, structural, mechanical, and project management sectors. Over the years, TESD has expanded its reach to include diverse sectors such as logistics, retail, and the motor industry.
Diverse Expertise and Compliance
Within the Temporary Employment Services Division (TESD), certain members specialize in providing “white collar” professionals like draughtsmen, engineers, project managers, and technicians to industries such as Engineering, Procurement, and Construction Management (EPCM), mining, and manufacturing. The association places a strong emphasis on adherence to legal regulations and standards, particularly in the TESD sector, where members undergo rigorous compliance audits to ensure alignment with stringent requirements.
Collaborative Representation
The Constructional Engineering Association of South Africa (CEA(SA)) advocates for industry representation across affiliated bodies, ensuring a voice for the sector in contexts where such representation holds significance and benefits. This collaborative approach strengthens industry ties and facilitates meaningful engagement within broader industrial frameworks.
Leading the Way with Strategic Partnerships
At CEA(SA), we lead through strategic partnerships with esteemed organizations like SEIFSA, MEIBC, MerSETA, SAIW, and SAISC. Together, we drive industry progress, leveraging collective expertise for a sustainable future in construction engineering.
